When do I arrive / depart from Camp Good News?
For Resident Campers Registration begins Sunday at 6 p.m.
For Day Campers Registration begins Monday at 7:30 a.m.
***We have moved the arrival time for Resident Campers to 6 p.m. on Sunday evening.  The time change will allow the camp staff to be adequately prepared for your children when they arrive.  We ask that you feed your child dinner before they arrive although we will open up the concession stand which offers many hearty meals such as hamburgers, pizza & corn dogs.  Thank you for your understanding and patience as our desire is to make camp the best experience of the summer for your children!  


Who can attend Summer Camp?
Day Campers ages 5-12 years of age.
Resident Campers ages 8-13 years of age.


Where will Resident Campers be staying?

Resident Campers are housed in our dorms on the Camp Good News property.

How do I register my child for Summer Camp?

How do I pay for Summer Camp?
There are 3 payment options for registering your child at Summer Camp.
We appologize for any inconvinience but NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
1) Cash
2) Credit Card (over the phone, or on line)
3) Cashier's Check (mailed or brought in to the office)


What extra charges can we expect?
Camp Keepsakes are optional but available at the Friday's Closing Assembly.
T-Shirts ($10.00 each)
Professional Group Photos will be taken each week ($6.00)


How many people live in each cabin?
Each cabin holds 10 campers and 2 counselors.

Do campers ever get turned away from an
activity they choose?

All Campers get to participate in all available activities.

How many people are in each activity?

Each cabin gets a chance to participate in most activities individually.

What kind of supervision is provided?
The camper to staff ratio is approximately one to four.

Do you have a camp nurse?
We have a registered nurse on the camp grounds at all times. We also have a physician who is on call 24 hours a day. All counselors are certified through the American Red Cross in CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Are campers put into cabins by age or grade?
Campers are grouped in cabins by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.

Do campers need extra money?

Campers have an opportunity to spend money in our canteen/snack shack. $10-$20 is usually enough to send with each camper. At the end of camp, campers have an option of buying camp t-shirts and group photos as well if they were not already purchased online.

When may parents visit?
Our visiting hours are Tuesdays between 6:30-7:30 PM. For the safety of your campers, we do not allow visitors on the camp ground at any other time. If there is an emergency with your child we will contact you immediately.

Do the cabins have toilets and showers in them?
Each cabin is equipped with showers, stalls, hot and cold water, and Air Conditioning.

Will my child swim in a lake or a pool?
Everybody that participates in any lake activity will be required to wear a lifejacket. To swim in the deep water in the pool, each camper must first pass a swim test. There is no water activity that will not include at least two American Red Cross certified lifeguards.

What about my child’s medications?
For the safety of all campers, no child is allowed to have medicine on his possesion. All medicine is distributed at the needed time by the camp nurse. Medicine must be turned in to the camp nurse upon arrival at the camp.

May campers have cell phones?
No. If a camper is caught with a cell phone, he will be required to leave camp.
